Sorry for the lack of updates – ECT7 this weekend.
That just means KN has been extra busy! We’ve had some stuff going, had to refuse some offers here and there but overall we’re getting booked for events regularly and have many throughout the rest of the year. Here’s a recent wrap up:
About a month ago was Paradise Found, the continuing semi monthly event by Rapzilla of Monster Island Tournaments KN helped out by providing monitors, systems, games and speakers. This was the highest attendance for MIT yet with almost 60 entrants for MKX and close 100 overall players for various games such as SM4SH and USF4. MKX was one by the infamous REO, vs CD Jr in the Grand Finals, which can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21pjuFnuNwA
We had a great time at J1 Con a few weeks ago in Philly, acting as equipment supplier, helping engage the locals in some competitive MKX and putting on a great show for their stream. KDZ emerged victorious in MKX as well as USF4. This was their most successful event thus far.
Also, last weekend at The Common Wealth in Virginia Beach for Mr. Aquaman’s first attempt at a major with about 125 players showing up for MKX. Again we supplied equipment to enhance the event, ran brackets and streamed side matches for the Injustice tournament. This event had some extremely top tier production effort so check for the videos and coverage on youtube and testyourmight.com . Who won MKX? Sonic Fox. Who won Injustice? Sonic Fox. Yup. Who won best dressed? Darth Arma.
Injustice full results:
1. CR Sonic Fox
2. YOMI Forever King
3. YOMI Slayer
4. RM EMP Darth Arma
5. Alithical
5. YOMI Darkfire
7. RM Cossner

9. Claude VonStroke
9. STB IMBLACKJAMES
9. EMPR Jupiter
9. KN JKun Prime
13. WOWBIGGULPS

13. RM Cloud
This weekend is ECT7, and KN’s 7th time (including our time as UltimateMK.com) providing equipment, bracket running and we will likely record side MKX matches that do not make it on stream. Unfortunately, we won’t know until things get rolling but there will not be a live a stream from KN. Look for videos on youtube.com/kombatnetwork.
Not to mention KDZ’s 8 on the Break weekly has been powered by KN for almost 2 years now! Can’t believe we’ve been back at the Break this long. We were fortunate enough to stream the first FOUR weeks of MKX at the Break and really opened up exposure while 8WayRun was on vacation. The Break is truly a home base for the development of UMK3’s revival in the 2000s and we owe much to this great venue. If you’re in NJ, check out the Break, because unless you’re visiting Cape May, it’s about 45 minutes or less from just about anywhere in NJ that is populated.
Otherwise, a lot has been going on
The Streak…is over.
What can be said about Combo Breaker? Hype central, the players turned out, the juices were flowing…and the Streak…ended. GGA Dizzy put to an end, quite a run of NRS majors and regionals headlined and won by Sonic Fox in undefeated fashion, in this incredible MKX major. More than 200 players turned out, and the competition was fierce.
TOP 8
1. GGA Dizzy (Raiden)
2. cr. Sonic Fox (Erron Black, Ermac)
3. CORN Alucard (Kotal Kahn)
4. Yomi Forever King (Kung Jin, Goro)
5. REO (Kung Jin, Quan Chi)
5. Khaotic Raptor (Takeda)
7. Yomi Michaelangelo (Quan Chi)
7. GGA Nikolasss (Ermac)
