Gamestop has an awesome sale starting tomorrow (8/1 to 8/7) where you can get MK9 for the PS Vita for $9.99 brand new & MK Komplete Edition for $19.99 (MKKE is on sale RIGHT NOW at that price, FYI!). Also, fellow WB’s game Batman Arkham City Game of the Year Edition will be on sale tomorrow for $29.99, and if you haven’t played the series at all yet, Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY 3D Editions will be $9.99. Highly recommend the Arkham series and if you still don’t have MK9, no better time than now to pick it up on the cheap!!

Mortal Kombat 9 player Michaelangelo is now fully sponsored by Console Combat, which if you haven’t heard, is the fighting game scene in the Northeast/Cleveland, Ohio area. Congratulations to the top 3 in MK9, I’ll be adding that to the post as soon as I get the full results. A very nice 16 player turnout for the NJ local scene we’re building, and looking forward to more, and bigger tournaments to come. Remember players, MK9 is a monthly event at YesterCades Red Bank Rumble. Next up on the train ride of the FGC is dual weekend tournament, Summer Jam and MLG Raleigh August 25th and 26th, so make sure to reserve your hotel rooms, wherever you choose to go. KombatNetwork will be running MK9 at Summer Jam, along with UMK3 and MKII, possibly all on Saturday since we’re expecting an overall light turnout due to MLG being on the east coast on the same day. This opens the chances up for players who typically place between 9th and 17th to win this tournament and take home a few hundred dollars, so players who don’t expect to win MLG and don’t want to travel quite so far, Summer Jam is the tournament to be at for the summer.
