Console Combat’s Monthly gathering is this Sunday, July 29th at The Fox & Hound in Parma, Ohio. • MORTAL KOMBAT
  • 6:00 pm
  • $5 Entry
  • Set to 2 out of 3 rounds
  • Must win 2 matches out of 3 in preliminary sets to advance
  • Must win 3 out of 5 matches in finals (Winner’s, Loser’s, & Grand Finals’)
  • Banned List: Kratos, Hell Stage, Wastelands and the Street
  • Fatalities are encouraged on stream station!
  • PS Dual Shock 3 Pads are allowed. WARNING it is your responsibility to IMMEDIATELY DISABLE your controller after your match and plug your control to the available Desync Station. Failure to do so that results in interrupting another Tournament Match are grounds for FORFEIT of your next match
  • ALSO:
  • Fox and Hound will stay open until 2 am and we will have casual stations all day.
  • Draft Beers for only TWO DOLLARS after 10p on Sunday
  • Tournament Payout Structure
    • Payouts are based on tournament entrants:
    • 9 entrants or less, payout is 80/20
    • 10 – 32 entrants, payout is to Top 3 at 70/20/10
    • 33 – 64 entrants, payout is to Top 5 at 55/20/10/5/5 x2
    • 65 – 96 entrants, payout is to Top 8 at 50/20/10/3/3 x2/3 x2
    • 96 entrants or more payout is to Top 16 at 45/15/10/5/4 x2/4 x2/1.5 x4/1 x4

Tonight, Friday, July 27th at 7pm EST, another Red Bank Rumble is set to go down. Expecting about 20 MK9 players, casuals and the tourney will be streamed by none other than Pherleece. As I’m sure most of you have heard, the legendary venue for Season’s Beatings, Momo2, is closing here in Columbus on July 31. A sad day, yes, but now its time to open a new door in the long running tournament franchise known as “Season’s Beatings”!!

As TYM & the MK community knows, Ohio is home to some of the fiercest Mortal Kombat competition in the country. Two-time EVO champion Perfect Legend calls Ohio home, and Tim Static is a pillar of the MK community.

SB has been a prime spot for MK as well, going back to SB 2009-2010 arcade UMK3 tournaments (with 2010 being on the main stream!), and now with MK9 we look forward to giving you the hypest tournament we can. Please hit up Tim Static with questions as he is our main point man for MK!

We received the official trailer for Injustice| Gods Among Us from NRS, and with the trailer, a press release for it. So if you are in San Diego this weekend for Comic Con 2012, check this presser out, then make you stop by the DCU booth!!

Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment released a new gameplay trailer for Injustice: Gods AmongUs revealing characters showcased at San Diego Comic-Con.   Attendees of San Diego Comic-Con can get their chance to play the game at DC Entertainment’s booth, #1915.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is an all-new game in development by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, creators of the definitive fighting game franchise Mortal Kombat.The game is scheduled for release in 2013 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Wii U™ system from Nintendo.
